So 2010 draws to a close. I’m guessing there have been lots of ups and downs for everyone this year. Unfortunately more downs probably. In this blog post I’m only looking at the positives – backwards and forwards.

For myself it’s been quite eventful making the huge decision to leave one job and set up alone. Some work is coming in but I can always do with more so please look at my services page to see if there is anything I can help with – accounts, debt collecting. Social Media, writing etc etc (shameless plug sorry).

My Mum turned 80 in September and we had a great party for her back in Wales which was just perfect and she loved it.  My eldest brother, Ian, is 60 today on New Years Eve and I couldn’t wish for a better brother; luckily I have another two brothers (Alan and Philip) and I think the world of them all and my sisters-in-law count as my best friends too so I’m very lucky. Being the family we are we probably don’t say that enough, in fact we never do so it takes me writing a blog to say it lol. Thank God that all the family are healthy and well and long may that continue.

I am so lucky to live where I am – in the middle of fields which are ideal for my animals. My landlord/neighbours, JJ & Siobhan Fitzgerald are just the best I could wish for. I’m very lucky to have ended up here and hope that lasts a lot longer.

Anyone who knows me will know how much I love animals, especially cats and dogs. My 3 dogs and 2 cats are my little family and they give me so much fun and contentment.

As I love writing too I’ve started to combine that with my love of animals and have done some short children’s stories about the animals.

I’m getting great feedback especially from a few youngsters so I really hope that it comes to something this year. That is one of my 2011 wishes anyway.

This year I have really enjoyed writing my blogs and I’m very proud to be included in the Bloggertone group. My plan is to do a lot more of that in 2011.

I am very thankful that a friendship that started in 2009 has grown to be very important to me with Melanie Schregardus. We had a great few days in France visiting the lovely Catherine Connors and also a weekend in Wales seeing my family and my other best friend Lynne Allbutt. Not to mention the trip to Dublin to see the fabulous Michael Buble.  Mel and her husband Alex are lovely supportive people and a pleasure to know and count as friends.

I have “met” some lovely friends through Twitter and hope to actually meet in person in 2011 – another on the wish list. For those of you I have already met I look forward to seeing you again soon.

Another great friend I have locally is Ali Clarke of Webmentor. Ali has helped me so much this year with her always brilliant and spot on advice and help with my blog page plus so so much more. Hopefully more collaboration will happen in 2011.

So I’m looking forward to a quiet night in on New Years Eve and that is my perfect type of night – it took me about 20 years to realise that but thank God I finally did. I know that 2011 will be my year!!

I wish everyone I know; work colleagues, friends and acquaintances past and present, online friends and most importantly my family; a wonderful, successful and prosperous 2011 and may all your wishes come true.  Stay positive 🙂

Have a good one.
